Facilitator Tracey Hicks:

‘I have worked with families for over 40 years and my passion and focus has been to support adults and young people to live free from harm, and to develop their resilience to enable them to reach their true potential.

I have worked with families where there have been all types of abuse, supporting both the person being abused and at times the abuser, starting this work in 1992 when working at Norwich rape crisis.

This led me to become involved in training for professionals, both voluntary and statutory as a National Trainer.

Recently I have concentrated on writing and delivering training for professionals including a 5-day Working with Parents programme for Beijing University.

Safeguarding is priority in all my work, and I continue to support professionals to do no harm and improve and inform professional practice. My recent focus has been to support professionals involved in the lives of young people and aim to improve mental health and resilience of both young people and the adult supporting them.’
