Cost: We are independent. We don’t get funding from the government or NHS (even though GPs refer people to us all the time!). We need to ask you for a contribution to the costs of running the Centre which include paying for supervision and training for our counsellors. This is always less than the cost of private counselling and is tailored to your ability to pay. We agree this with you at your initial intake meeting. Special circumstances of financial hardship can be discussed. We don’t like to turn anyone away.
You can pay by BACS, card, cheque or cash.
Counselling sessions are usually for one hour at the same time each week with the same counsellor (You will understand that we have to charge for late cancellations).
How it works: Contact us by phone (01603 625222) to arrange an intake meeting. After that you go onto our waiting list until a counsellor becomes free and contacts you to start work. The list is not long by current standards – 4 to 6 weeks if you are fairly flexible about times when you can come.
